Soul Mates: If a soul mate is the other half of your soul as many books say they are, then aren’t you falling in love with yourself, basically? So maybe in another life, but if before you’re born your soul is split, then wouldn’t one soul be split in two, then when reincarnated, those two souls split into two each? My opinion? That we decide who our soul mates are. We don’t control who we fall in love with; we never could. Yes, I do believe in soul mates, but not the theory stated above; I think, instead, that it’s our past lives, or perhaps our first life. (Yes, I’m a believer of reincarnation; books got to me.) Who we fall in love when we died, is who we would fall in love with now. I don’t know, some of you might think I’m crazy, but I just thought I’d post this. It’s been nagging me for days…
There is a Greek myth I've read that said that we were born with 2 heads, 4 arms and 4 legs and that the gods were scared or how powerful we would become so they split us up. So now we roam the earth searching for our missing half.

I do honestly like the idea, but when you over-analyze the myths/legends...it gets weird...but you're not the only romantic in town! ;D
DeleteHmm. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. To be honest, I really hope that there are things like destiny and soul mates just so that I know there is a bright future ahead just waiting for me. But I'm not sure if there is. I don't know if there are soul mates, and if there aren't, is there someone out there perfect for me? Will I die alone, an old women surrounded by cats with only her books to console her? With that in mind, I can't help but hope that soul mates are real. But if I was being honest with myself, in my opinion, I would have to say no. Because since when is life fair or easy. Wow, I am a pessimist. haha
